Initial Server Configuration

When we take on a new server we give it the once over and perform initial configuration, this includes:

  • Install of Ksplice for kernel updates without server reboots 
  • Initial setup up of cPanel and configuration of common options
  • Install of CHKRootKit and RootKit Hunter for detection of mallicious software and exploits
  • noexec, nosuid temporary directories
  • Install of CSF Firewall
  • SSH Server hardening
  • Disabling unused services
  • MySQL optimization
  • host.conf & sysctl.conf hardening
  • Installation of additional utilities MyTOP and MultiTail
  • Zend Optimizer installation (upon request)

Ongoing Server Management

This service includes the following:

  • 24x7x365 (5 minute interval) Server Monitoring with Reboot - We don't just ping your server we test your server is serving content. If your server is down, we follow your instructions to reboot it by either contacting data center or accessing the remote reboot port
  • Within 6 Hour Response Time and within 24 Hour Resolution Time Guarantee for Support Tickets
  • 1 Hour of admin work per month with the ability to purchase additional time as required
  • Server Software Support and Upgrades - Kernel, Apache, PHP, Mysql, Perl, Exim, FTP, WHM/CPanel
  • WHM/CPanel Technical Issues
  • Server Backup and Restoration - We can provide backup space, configure backups and perform backup restoration should the need arise
  • Disaster Recovery - We can rebuild your system a clean install and backups either on the same or new hardware
  • Server Migration - If you are moving server then we can move your accounts over for you. You must have root access and cPanel on both the old and new server for this service

 

 

Backup services can be supplied at additional costs subject to requirements.
