TOLRA Directory Scripts
Directories are a great way to expand your site, increase the flow of content or become a community based environment. (e.g. Your Security themed website has a security themed directory. Your directory would attract users while you are also encouraging people to your website. The more people that visit your site, the more attractive advertising space is going to be on there, so you can also estabilish a supplement income to your website. Even if your not interested in a directory, you might be interested in something smaller just to swap links with others in the trade. Link exchange directories are a great place to store links categorically. They make the whole process of exchanging links with other sites not such a chore!
There are many directory scripts on the market, unfortunately there are also many dodgy scripts that either have security or accessibility issues, or are just very badly coded. Four years ago I started testing TOLRA Microsystem's directory script, and I have been using it ever since. Search engines spider it well. It validates to various standards. It is accessible. It requires no bells or whistles to run it. It has no security issues. For the price it can't be beat!

- Full text search.
- Filter to analyse the title and description of submissions to the directory to help ensure the correctness of the submission and optionally block bad words.
- Supports mod_rewrite to allow for search engine friendly URLs.

web hosting
The directory script can be installed on most hosts that provide PHP 4.3 or later and MySQL 4.0.10 or later. Full requirements for the directory script. It should be noted that the script is designed to work in English only.
