title= [ Way of the Web ]
The Internet connects computers and networks of computers to each other. While Internet Service Providers (ISP's), web hosts and computers crash, the Internet despite constant instances of hacking and unleashing of viruses, doesn't crash. It is a testament to the ingenuity of its inventors.
The World Wide Web (WWW) is all the documents and data residing on the Internet that can be accessed using a browser.
The big decision... Do you need a website?
- Do you communicate with customers, clients or suppliers via email?
- Do you email other businesses to order products and services?
- Do you use the Web to find information, such as prices, phone numbers, reviews of products?
- Do you use the Web for research, such as the latest industry trends?
- Do you use the Internet for online banking and paying our bills using BPAY?
If these are your practices in relation to the Internet, it stands to reason that others are doing it also. If your not on the web, then people aren't finding you.

So you have decided you want a website, what next? It's not something you enter into lightly. Your website is only going to work for you, if you work your website. That means getting your website address out there, getting link backs, and promoting it. Otherwise it's a very expensive investment to let just sit there.
Are you ready to take the leap? Yes? So what now?
- Register
The first thing to do is choose a website name, also called a domain name, and register it. It is where your website is located and which you receive business email. Only use an official accredited registrar, or a reseller of theirs. Attitude can register your domain for you at a reputable domain registrar.
Please Note: Unlike some others we do not register your domain in our name but rather correctly register it in YOUR name with YOUR business details so that the domain name is YOURS not OURS!
- Content & design
Now is the time to start planning your website. The look and feel of your site is reflected through the design, so it's important to consider:- What is the goal of my site? To sell, display, inform, share, interact or promote?
- What is my target audience? Subscribers, the general public, friends, community members, family, hobbyists or prospective employers?
- How is everyone going to find my site? You will want other websites to link back to you of the same genre. You may want to include a link to your website in any digital signatures, email, or promote your site on online groups or forums.
- Hosting
You will need to pay to have your website hosted on the internet. Visitors access the website through the web host’s computer, where all of your files are stored.
