What to ask before hiring your Web contractor ...

  1. Do you include hosting and domain registration?
    If you are starting with a new website it’s likely you will require a domain name and a place for your website to be hosted (parked). Many designers don't offer these services. We do!
  2. Do you build standards compliant websites?
    Standards compliant websites are websites that are built to an industry specification. Non-standard websites are harder to index by search engines such as Google, use more bandwidth, cost more to redesign at a later date, have more chances to break on different devices. There may also be government regulations dealing with website accessibility that may affect your website. We build websites to industry standards!
  3. What SEO services do you offer?
    There are a large range of SEO techniques your web developer would know that would be enough to get you on the first or second page of Google. If being at the top of the results is a priority for your site, then there are local companies who specialise in SEO & search marketing who we will engage on your behalf.
  4. Will you outsource any work?
    Web developers regularly outsource to other web companies or freelancers. Many will outsource overseas to underpaid & sometimes 'dime a dozen' sweatshops. We outsource to reputable professionals within arms reach.
  5. Do you provide after sales support?
    After your website is completed there will likely be updates you would like to make, or new ideas you want to implement later down the track. Your web developer should offer a warranty period, web management plans, website maintenance plans, training, and what these ongoing maintenance charges will be. We offer a 30 day warranty on all work & will take care of any bugs found in that period. We also offer plans to safekeep your website.
